The Gaming Industry is Trolling Everyone

Why are all the good games coming out now that school has started again? Seriously, I wish I had all summer to work on my Madden 13 Ultimate Team or complete Darksiders 2 and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, but I don't. Instead I have to worry about getting up extra early and driving to the University for my 9:00 AM class. This sucks and it will get even worse. That's right, Borderlands 2, FIFA 13, and the next World of Warcraft expansion are all coming out in September. On the bright side, these games are all pretty epic. Madden 13, especially the Ultimate Team experience has my full attention currently. I'm interested in the new Key Packs/ Key Players concept. I'll try to have more information when I manage to unlock any of them for myself. Right now I'm completing solo challenges and I love the fact that you are rewarded with players/coaches as well as coins. It adds more incentive for me personally.

Besides Madden 13, I was having a good time playing Darksiders 2 already. I loved the first game and the sequel has a lot of the same aspects. Playing as Death just feels cool and the armor/weapons that I received from preordering along with having a game save from the first game made my version of Death feel overpowered early on. That is not a bad thing in my opinion, because my goal in most games where you level up and can upgrade your gear is to reach a level of superiority. In Final Fantasy 7 for example, I did not fight Sephiroth until my group was a pretty high level and had Knights of the Round equipped. I also believe I got lucky 7's for the first time against him. Needless to say I destroyed him and I felt awesome about it. It doesn't take anything away from the game experience in my opinion. I like my character(s) to be OP. As long as I feel like I have earned it.

The other game that I wish I had more time to play is Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. My friend actually got it for me as an early birthday gift and it has been a blast playing multiplayer and leveling up the various classes. I'm still not sure which class I like best. Infiltrator and Destroyer have both been fun. Hopefully I will be able to max those two classes at least before Borderlands 2 comes out. I don't even know what I am going to do when I'll have the new Madden 13 AND FIFA 13 Ultimate teams to build and manage. I am completely addicted to Ultimate Team and it started with FIFA, which is still the better overall Ultimate Team experience, even though the solo challenges and rewards in Madden 13 makes it awesome in its' own right.

Other than FIFA 12 and a few arcade games the second half of the summer was pretty lame for gaming, but after a long summer drought, the floodgates have truly been opened. Oh well, I better end this entry so I can get back to playing.
